1. Nothing Else Matters- Metallica
Nothing else matter except for what? Thats the question ;)
Okay so Lets start with some lyrics:
' So close no matter how far. Couldn't be much more from the heart'
Okay so it's about something or someone he likes or loves and that thing or human is always with him and he loves with all of his heart.
' life is ours we live it our way'
Okay so its probably about him and a girl he loves and they live their life how they want it to.
' trust I seek and find in you'
So he trusts this girl, I think it's sort of a love song.
Okay I think I can answer my question ' nothing else matters except for..' love I think, he doesn't care what other people think of him or what they think of them being together. The only think he cares about is that they are happy together and it doesn't matter if everybody else don't like them.
Guns n' roSes- november rainIs this song about the rain in November?
I think this song is not about the rain in november because the lyrics isn't about rain or the weather at all. I think November Rain is about not wanting to be in a state of or having to deal with unrequited love. The song is about Axl ( Guns n Roses lead singer) love for a women but this women doesn't love him anymore. ' But darlin when I hold you, Don't you know I feel the same' He's saying that if he holds her, he loves her but she doesn't realise it. 'Cause nothing lasts forever and we both know hearts can change' Their relationship is over because it doesn't last forever and she's in love with somebody else or she just doesn't love him anymore because her heart changed. ' It's hard to hold a candle, in the cold November rain' This is a metaphor for unrequited love, it's impossible to hold a candle when it's raining because the flame won't stay. My conclusion is that this song is not about the rain in November but it's a metaphor for unrequited love. NirVaNa- The man who sold the world- nirvanaWho is this man who sold the world?
I picked the Nirvana cover of this song because Nirvana is one of my favorite bands in the world and the unplugged version is just amazing. Okay lets get this started. Im starting with a part of the lyrics in the chorus: ' you're face to face with the man who sold the world' Okay so it is possible that Kurt sings about him being the man who sold the world but we'll find out later. I can be that kurt is the man who sold the world or that's he's talking to another person/watching from a distance and that the person he's talking to is having a conversation with the man who sold the world. My conclusion is that the man who sold the world's identity is unknown. It could be Kurt or somebody else but nobody knows... |

led zeppelin- stairway to heaven
Is this song about a real stairway?
I think the 'stairway' to heaven is not a real stairway. I think its a metaphor for the way to heaven but we'll find out after looking at the lyrics of the song.
The song starts with
' there's a lady who's sure that glitters is gold, and she's buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed. WIth a word she can get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh and she's buying a stairway to heaven.'
The lady represents the naive soul of a person that she can simply ask for anything and just receive it without doing anything and in the end she will go to heaven for being a good person, I think this lady is a rich lady who is confinced that she doesn't have to do anythinhg to get what she wants and doesn't have to work for things and when she dies she is going to heaven because she thinks she's a good person.
My conclusion is that this song is not about a real existing stairway.

green day- basket case
|
okay this song is by one of my favorite bands, Green Day and its one of my favorite songs because of the meaning. My question about this song is: Is the song about a basket case or is it not.
I don't think it's about a basket case, the somy doesn't have anything to do with basketball or sports at all, also the music video. The video is in a hospital and not in a gym or some place where you can play basketball or something where you're using basket cases. This song is about anxiety attacks and a feeling that you are going crazy. Lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong suffered from various panic disorders while he was growing up - he would sometimes wake up in the middle of the night with a panic attack and walk around his neighborhood to settle down. "Basket Case" was a cathartic song and personal song for him. "The only way I knew how to deal with it was to write a song about it," he explained. This song stereotypes the whole condition of paranoia and compares it to being stoned. my conclusion is: The song has nothing to do with the basket case or basketball at all but its about Billie Joe Armstrong's panic disorders and thats why this is one of my favorite songs because I have panic attacks and this song is about is. source: songfacts.com |
System of a down- chop suey!
Is this song about the food
The chorus of this song is this part:
Wake Up (Wake Up)
Grab a brush and put a little make up!
Hide the scars to fade away the shake-up (Hide the scars to fade away the shake-up)
Why'd you leave the keys upon the table?
Here you go, create another fable
but what does it have to do with chop suey? (By the way Chop Suey is chinese food). I think it doesn't have anything to do with the food because the word 'food' or 'chop suey' are. Not used in the song at all. If the song was about this dish then there had to be something like ingredients of words that have something to do with food. So it has to be about something else, but what?
The food doesn't have anything to do with the lyrics but the dish it made out of much ingredients and that is what they're music style is, a lot of styles put together.
The song is about a drug addiction or how society views death or abouut Chris

- This is about drug addiction, but it doesn't have the somber tone that many songs about addiction have. The band describes it as "a little quacky." The song can also be interpreted to be about how society views death or about Christ.

my conclusion is: This sog has nothing to do with the food itself but it represents diferent kinds of music put together.

asking Alexandria- the death of me
This song is called the death of me, but my question is:
What is 'you' in the song ( I won't let you be the death of me)
This song is about the drug addiction of ex- lead singer Danny Worsnop when he was 20 years old. Danny was addicted to alcohol and drugs and that's what is song is about. In the video you see girls in vending machines, each girl is a different addiction. You have alchohol, heroïn, sex and pills. In the video you can see a little boy who represents Danny as a boy who is discovering his rock n roll destiny as women in vending machines are trying to communicate with him. I think the music video also shows that he is over that addiction because you see older Danny singing the song in the same scenery as the little boy.
'I won't let you be the death of me
No, I refuse to let you bring me down (bring me down)
So the 'you' is the drugs and the alchohol and he is done with that kind of stuff
I won't let you make me out to be
The one who's in the wrong
So he knows if he is not going to rehab that he is the wrong one instead of the drugs.
I know I've lost my mind before
He admits that he has done these things
But now I'm back
And I'm better than ever.'
He is over his addiction and doesn't need and want it anymore and he's a better person without it.
